As you may now know, our goal at Fontself is to let you send cool, personalized messages all over the web.
One of our most requested features was the ability to design and send emails with our creative fonts. We are very happy to announce that you can now do just that — check out our newest feature, the Email sender.
This is a just another small incremental step in our quest to help you colorize your friend’s inbox. Of course, if you are a Yahoo! Mail user, you can also directly use our My Cool Fonts app. Just find the app in the App Gallery within Yahoo! Mail and add it. Click on for more detailed into on how to install it.
Finally, to get you inspired and in a creative mood, wanted to share some of the latest artwork we got from one of our talented graphic designers, Franco Szymanski.

Fontself App now live on Yahoo! Mail
May 12th, 2010We are really proud to announce that Fontself is now available in Yahoo! Mail. With the new Fontself application, now you can add a bit of color and style to your messages using a variety of original hand-drawn fonts, and send eye-catching emails to your friends.
Just remembered it was your friend’s birthday? Want to let someone know how much you miss them? How about making the invite for your upcoming party a bit more memorable? Or even better, why not send a funky message to your friends just for fun?
With this new Fontself app you can always find a cool font that suits your mood and gives your email messages that very personal touch. Your personalized emails will not only stand out in a crowded inbox, but will surprise your friends and put a smile in their face.
Creating colorful emails using our original fonts is very easy. Just launch the Fontself app from the Applications menu, select a font, type a message, click on “Create email” and voila! A new email gets created, and you can then add any other text or attachments to your illustrated message.

Happy Birthday Font
May 7th, 2010It’s always a good occasion to remind friends and family that you are thinking about them. You can now use Happy Birthday, a wonderful new font hand-drawn with colored pencils, to send warm wishes to those you love.
This decorative font has been created from original drawings of streamers. The shape of the type and its quaint smileys, are reminiscent of our first childhoold experiences with hand-made birthdays cards, where we’d spend hours with our favourite box of pencils making our message looks just perfect. It’s playfulness comes from the subtle combination of soft colours and the play of lights and shadow that give it a three dimensional feel.
While this font’s classic look is suitable for birthdays and anniversaries, it’s simple lines and vibrant colours are guaranteed to add a touch of joy festiveness to any message.
Fontself presenting at Alp-ICT Venture Night (May 5th)
May 4th, 2010Fontself will be presenting at Alp ICT Venture Night on Wed May 5th, one of the events organized as part of the LIFT 2010 Conference.
It’s FREE and open to the public (i.e. not necessary to be registered at LIFT to attend), and will take place at the main conference room of the CICG in Geneva.
The event starts at 17h45, with a keynote by Neil Rimer, from Index Ventures and followed by the presentations on the big stage by 8 Swiss Startups. Each presentation takes 4 minutes, so be there on time or you’ll miss us! Franz, our CEO/co-founder will be presenting and making a special announcement.

Fontself has been selected as one of the 15 startups that will be showcasing their products at the Startup Corner during the Lift 2010 Conference.
We are quite excited about this opportunity to demo all the apps on we’ve been working very hard for the last few months.

Fontself App for MySpace launched

We are very happy to announce that we have just released our Fontself app within MySpace.
MySpace users can now use our cools fonts to:

Also, they will be able to use a webcam capture, an image or a handdrawn doodle to create their own smileys. As soon as a new smiley is saved, it can be used immediately to create posts or send messages within MySpace (and anywhere else on the web).
All they have to do is install the app and start using it!
